1. Climate Change — the scientific debate

A basic look at how climate scientists infer that man-made carbon gases are changing the climate, and how this view is contradicted by other climate scientists who are skeptics. I am a former science correspondent with an interest in reporting the facts, not the media hype. My thanks to 9thgate for checking my script for errors.

Most of us old enough to have gone through the first climate change scare did not believe in this new scare.
The first time around it was global cooling. The climate changes naturally for many many reasons that have really not all been put together as of yet. This is due to the typical lying that comes from the Gorites. The truth is not in them and they are really not intersted in it either. They are intersted for political resons only.

Professor Ian Plimer condemned the climate change lobby as climate comrades keeping the gravy train going.
He said carbon dioxide has had no impact on temperature and that recent warming was part of the natural cycle of climate stretching over billions of years.
Many scientists had a vested interest in promoting climate change because it helped secure more funding for research. Governments are also keen on putting their hands as deep as possible into our pockets
OK in enough quantity of course – pretty much anything will kill you H20 etc.
But Co2 is only harmful in vast quantities-
not atmospheric traces .The vast majority is produced naturally and literally makes our planet green. The optimum level for plants (about 1200-1500 ppm v. our 380) is way above anything we can achieve.
I wouldn’t call you a loser- you are probably intelligent and well meaning, but trust the science not the politicians on this one. Co2 is not as evil as they portray.

It’s off topic, but what the hell…
On Apollo 13 after the onboard explosion they managed to keep enough oxygen to make it home.
But the CO2 levels built up to toxic levels because the lithium hydroxide CO2 scrubbers (round canisters) in the Lunar Module were not sufficient
They solved the problem with duct tape and the square canisters from the CM but it’s not true that CO2 is harmless
it’s poisonous.
BTW your SUV makes matters worse by generating CO not CO2, much worse!

As fond as you are of plastic bags, you don’t need one: Simply exercising raises Co2 levels in your lungs far higher than anything SUV’s could ever put into the Atmos. and it is perfectly harmless I promise. What happens with a bag is that you also deplete necessary oxygen, so it’s not really applicable- but please don’t stop on my account!

I’m stunned, the LPAC video makes a conclusion on deeds and actions of Elite. I’m not sure I agree with the conclusion. But I’m shocked people laugh it off. If you think I lost credibility what about the Science Czar and his book Ecoscience?

Even more than that- the Ordovician Ice age had >4400 ppm Co2: v. our 380.
Co2 is a greenhouse gas, just a very benign one, other natural fluctuations have always overwhelmed it. The relationship is that Co2 levels respond to temp. No evidence of the other way around. Any ‘consensus’ among ‘climatologists’ to the contrary is about as convincing as a consensus among paranormal investigators on the existence of ghosts. You’d get a more scientifically literate POV from a hairdresser!
@bernzeppi Evolution is as much of a scam as Global Warming. They used the same tactics. Flat out lies, doctored readings, and suppress all scientists who do not support there propaganda. The facts are very easy to comprehend if it is not cluttered with junk theory. The earth is not heating up anymore than Mars is and if it does start heating up there is nothing man can do about it. No one knows what conditions were like in the beginning. Only assumptions and miscalculations.

It IS true that the earth had higher CO2 in the past.
In fact life began on earth in an oxygen free environment.
Blue green algae used CO2 and converted it into free oxygen.
Animals (us) adapted to utilizing this free oxygen.
Put a plastic bag over you head, as the CO2 builds up you will get the same effect as living in earths early atmosphere.
Earth will survive without us… limiting CO2 output is about saving our own sorry asses.
