Yes there are real scientific reasons for glacial retreat in Greenland. CO2 is warming the atmosphere and warmer air is melting the ice and it therefore retreats. Good for farmers in Greenland, but not so good for farmers in places like Texas. One step forward fifty steps back. The negatives of too much heat.

Moister air can cause record snow in a warmer world. In other areas intense but brief rains can lead to floods and then long periods of drought. Snow and ice melting earlier extends summer dry periods. All in a warming world. Amazing isn’t it. And yep it’s science. But science isn’t for simpletons
@badvagirl Why do summers occur more in the summer? Well there’s more people in the woods, more lightening strikes, and all those other things. It also tends to be warmer and drier which makes it even easier for fires to start. The warmer and drier the summer the more fires you get.
